HOME Life On Rupert Remembered Photos Videos blank

Video camera

Rupert belonged to a generation for whom technology was taken for granted - cameras, computers and phones were all part of the fabric of his daily life. This meant that when he died, there was a rich legacy, scores of photographs and hours of video footage, taken, not only by his family, but also by his friends - and by Rupert himself. He would have made an excellent director and always had strong ideas about what made a good shot or was worth filming. In the years since his death, we have used this legacy to create a series of videos in which, all too briefly, but vividly, Rupert comes back to us - how he moved, how he talked, how he laughed and relished life.

We're eternally grateful to the brilliantly talented editors who put these videos together for us - Adrian Gooch (with Kez Margrie) and, since 2009, Duncan Bragg. They will never know what their work has meant, and continues to mean, to us.
